It’s my first time flying!?

I am leaving for California on Thursday. It’s my first time flying and I need some help. What do I put in the carry on/purse and my suitcase. Here are the items I am trying to figure out..

Hairbrush
Shaving razor
Gum
iPod
Disposable camera
Digital Camera
Battery charger
Batteries
Cell phone
Tooth brush

I have a very small (travel size) stick of deoderant, travel size body wash and shampoo and small thing of toothpaste.
If the toothpaste fits in the bag as the other 3 do I just put it in or do I have to put it in another bag?
